Elizabeth has just graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Political Science concentrated in Public Policy. She worked hard throughout her higher education career to better her community by focusing on societal issues that mean a lot to her such as: voter registration, education, poverty, and homelessness. Inspired by policy she analyzed in school, she began working with nonprofits in the Triangle to address those issues. She is inspired by working with others in the community toward a common goal.
Now that she has graduated from North Carolina State University, she hopes to work with Helps Education Fund to further her efforts to make a positive impact in the community. She is a Duke University NC LiteracyCorp member. Working with the NC LiteracyCorps on this important issue, she hopes to gain an insight to nonprofit work and issue work at the same time.
She was raised in Cary, North Carolina right outside Raleigh, NC. Her favorite things to do are reading, writing, going for long drives, yoga, Pilates, and surrounding herself with family and loved ones.
