Halo Paul

Lead HELPS Implementation Coach and Site Coordinator, Charlotte

Halo Paul studied special education and psychology at UNC Charlotte. She started working with Helps Education Fund during the Summer of 2018 when UNCC partnered with Helps Ed Fund for a summer reading camp. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology in 2019 and began working full time for Helps Ed Fund as an Implementation Coach and Tutor Trainer.

Halo believes that each child has the right to high-quality education and has always had a passion for educational equity. Statistics show that children who are reading on grade level by 3rd grade have better learning and life outcomes. For this reason, Halo thinks it is important to be proactive instead of reactive.

One of Halo’s favorite things about her position is that she gets to work one-on-one with students and build a relationship with each of them, as well as working with the tutors to better help students. Halo looks forward to continuing to help with the expansion of evidence-based and research-validated programs that Helps Ed Fund provides to teachers and families for free or at a low cost.

Halo lives in Charlotte, NC with her two cats, Danny and Zelly. In her spare time, she likes spending time with loved ones, going on outdoor adventures, and traveling.
