Kristal Badgett-Valcin, M.Ed.

HELPS Implementation Coach and Site Coordinator, Charlotte

Kristal Badgett-Valcin graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  For several years after, she dedicated herself to the legal arena working as a Senior Paralegal in the Corporate/Litigation and Compliance department.

In 2014, Kristal moved to North Carolina and decided to use her skills within the educational sector.  As such, she pursued her Master’s from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte.  While obtaining her degree she became a researcher at UNCC’s Summer Reading Camp.  In 2018, she was introduced to  Helps Education Fund.

As Kristal learned of the mission, culture and growth of the students involved in Helps Education Fund, she immediately expressed her excitement in being involved.  Since 2019 Kristal has taken great pride in providing support to not only the school staff connected with Helps Ed Fund, but also with all of the volunteers that have dedicated their time and effort to implement the HELPS Program.

Kristal and her husband, Reginald, have four sons: Xzavier, Gaibryel, London, and Maddex.  They love everything sports-related, outdoor activities, and just spending family time together.
