Pamela Gilchrist, MAEd., Ph.D.

Director of K-12 Programs

​​Pamela is a graduate of East Carolina University, where she earned her B.S. in Middle Grades Education in 1997 (with an emphasis in Science and Social Studies) and a MAEd. in Instructional Technology in 2006.  In 2014 Pamela went on to earn her Ph.D. in Educational Research and Policy Analysis from North Carolina State University. She has taught, managed, designed, and evaluated K-20 formal and informal educational programs in the areas of STEM, leadership, research design, and intercultural competence.

A commitment to partner with diverse stakeholders to equip students, teachers, and parents from all backgrounds to thrive in the global society is what drives Pamela’s passion for helping Helps Education Fund achieve its goals. She believes that a high-quality education is a right for all students. 

Pamela is a native of St. Pauls, North Carolina and is the youngest of ten siblings. She resides in Knightdale, NC. In her spare time Pamela loves to travel, sing, exercise, bake, read, and learn new things.
