
Jennifer Copeland Named Director of Advancement

Effective, March 1, 2023, Jennifer Copeland has been named Director of Advancement for Helps Education Fund. Known as the first staff person to join the organization in 2014, Jennifer returned to Helps Education Fund in January of 2021, where she has since served as the Advancement Manager.
“Jennifer has a long history with our organization,” said William Gibson, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer for Helps Education Fund. “She is a valuable asset to our team and continues to lead with thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and passion for the work and our organization’s mission. I am excited to have her in this new role as we work to advance learning outcomes and promote equity in education.”
As Director of Advancement, Jennifer will continue to lead efforts in fundraising development, board recruitment, program support, and managing relationships with vital partners and funders. Moving forward, Jennifer’s role will also supervise development strategies, lead advancement planning and related budgeting, help grow the organization’s development team and staff, and ensure alignment of communication strategies across the organization.
In collaboration with the Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, the advancement work now falls into three key areas: 1) Advancing and executing a fundraising strategy that will sustain and enhance the organization’s mission, programs, and reach; 2) Oversee communication strategies and planning; and 3) Assist in brand management efforts.
In support of the organization’s mission, Helps Education Fund has experienced exponential growth in funding and staff support over our most recent years, which have continued to expand the number of vital relationships managed under the organization’s advancement banner.
