Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a tutor! Tutoring opportunities for the spring semester are available Mondays through Thursdays at the following times beginning in February:
8:15-8:45 EST
8:45-9:15 EST
9:15-9:45 EST
9:30-10:00 EST
9:45-10:15 EST
10:00-10:30 EST
10:30-11:00 EST
1:30-2:00 EST
1:45-2:15 EST
2:10-2:40 EST
2:15-2:45 EST

All new tutors attend a 3.5 hour training. Training options include live Zoom trainings as well as asynchronous trainings you can complete at your own pace.
Over the course of your training session, you will learn more about Helping Education and the Helping Early Literacy with Practice Strategies (HELPS) reading intervention.
Your training session will prepare you to implement a year’s worth of the HELPS curriculum, guide you through the school district’s mandatory volunteer registration and background check process, and walk you through submitting our tutoring availability form.
Please note that, based on the session option you select below, you will manually be sent your registration confirmation email within 24 business hours.
