Detailed Job Description
The primary tasks of the Tutor will include:
- Serve as Helps Education Fund’s representative at a designated school
- Provide pre-planned, small group literacy tutoring sessions at your designated school
- Manage relationships between school staff and Helps Education Fund
- Build rapport with students while following a research-based lesson plan very closely
- Collaborate with school-based and Helps Education Fund colleagues to support student progress
- Communicate clearly with students, their school-based support systems, and your colleagues
- Record data to document student progress – familiarity with Google Sheets is a plus

Pay and Benefits
Compensation for this in-person position begins at $20.00 per hour. This position does not qualify for benefits.
Work Environment
This in-person role will work at a designated school site with support from our Charlotte-based team. During the semester, tutors will complete approximately 16-20 hours of work weekly. Tutors will be assigned a designated school either on a semester or a year-long basis.
